December 2nd

Dear diary,

Today everyone and evrything was quieter then usual. I could barely hear my parents when they told me stuff. The highest volume on the speaker was very quiet to me. I wonder why.

December 5th

Dear diary,

Why is everything even more slilent? I couldn’t hear my parents unless they yelled at me. The hoght volume was now a whisper. My brother said I’m doing it on purpose. I didn’t hear him but I saw his lips move. What is wrong with me?

December 7th

Dear diary,

My parents are worried. I can’t hear them but I cam see it in their expressions and I can read their lips. They’re taking me to the doctor soon.

December 12th

Dear diary,

I went to the doctor a couple days ago. He ran tests and from what I read from his lips, my hearing loss was me going deaf. My parents were scared for me. I could tell. It was going to be a silent world. I could still listen to music though. They had figured that out. But to someone who gets overwhelmed by sound, I didn’t mind it much. I’ll spend Christmas like this I believe.

December 15th

Dear diary

My parents got me a sigh language book. I can just read lips to understand but I guess I need to talk too. My brother told me my parents are trying to buy me hearing aids to help. I would hope they did. If they didn’t, that would be a waste of money.
