The orb hovering over my skull

Absorbing my glowing streaks

Moments of light turned dull

Stable ground rattling beneath my feet

The safe holding pieces of my heart

My pain, fear, regret turned treasure

One step towards the sun out of the dark

The throne seating my pleasure

Could the anchor on my ankle

Be the wings on my shoulder blades

And the moments I feel most tranquil

I’m just inches from my grave

I closed my eyes and prayed for answers

Awaited the revelation

Meditation just a bittersweet enhancer

Of that fact that my fate is my own creation
