Holding a torch in front of them, the main character decides to explore the basement to find out what has been making that noise.
The Basement
From a young age I knew how sinister and evil the world could be. I was very interested in true crime growing up being mostly fascinated by John Wayne Gayce, Jeffery Dahmer, and many more. I always believed they were monsters for what they did but, always believed that villains were not born they were made. I was always intrigued by there stories of what people did to them that turned them that way.My mom always considered me to be weird or scary at times because of my interests but always said I would be the one to take care of her when she grew old. She definitely counted on me more than my brother or sister and being the middle child I totally ment a lot.So naturally when I grew up I was a CIA agent. About three years into the job I got a call that there was a famous serial killers house that needed to be investigated it was I was scared but excited I had only seen or heard about this I movies and now I was finally living out my childhood fascination. Me and my team arrived at the house fully expecting some abandoned house the looked like a torture chamber but to our surprise it looked like a generally normal house with furniture and everything. I immediately took the looks for granted and we just scanned the house we didn’t do a full search like protocol. Then my friend from the police station got a call that there was a woman screaming and scratching and the noises were coming from that specific house the one where I had checked just days before. So me and my team do a real check not a nonchalant check a real full check. One of my teammates screamed from the top of the basement staircase. Now this scream wasn’t just an ahh scream it was a full blood curdling scream me and the rest of the team ran down to see what was wrong but what we saw was brutal. The same basement we had skipped while checking the first time had blood everywhere with several dead bodies all the ones that were never found all the ones the killer had murdered. Suddenly all of the lights in the house go out. We can hear thumps and screams and scratches coming from the bottom of the scared case. None of us were prepared for what happened next. I was forced to make a make shift torch out of some matches and old wood we found. As I lead my team down the stairs the sounds grew louder and louder. And that smell that ungodly smell. That was the moment we realized the killer wasn’t working alone he had a buddy. One that wasn’t even heard of nobody knew that there was two of them. Me and my team ran out of that house as fast as we could some covered with blood from trying to help our dead teammates. Most of us made it out of there alive but most were scared or traumatized for life. I radioed for back up but it was to late we had gone in there with 6 and only came out with 3. The police arrested the murders friend found out the murderer didn’t even know who this guy was apparently he was the murderers stalker and had been secretly carrying on with his killings. Me and the rest of my teammates still go out for drinks regularly but now we check every inch of every house just to be safe because last time it cost us 3 lives.
