Definition

“The state or fact of continuing to live or exist, typically in spite of an accident, ordeal, or difficult circumstance.”

I always thought of surviving as being by a zombie apocalypse

Now that I'm older surviving looks a lot like simply trying to be yourself

In a place where filters are social medias best friend, ai can be a love companion, and simple surgeries to make you look “prettier”.

Love dumb downed to nudes

And if my body is “tea”, enough for you

I'm learning what it means to be me past accomplishments.

Learning what things are like without stereotypes.

Do I sound all over the place,

Maybe that's because that's where I am.

What does it look like?

To be a firstborn daughter

Sister

Friend

Girlfriend

Unlicensed therapist

Leader

Communicator

Negotiator

Future mother and wife

and most of all

Myself…

I love me…

But is love enough

I'm surviving in a space where my own life is overstimulated

Maybe it's the phone

My brain

Probably just might be insane

All I know is it's me

Other than God

I'm the most consistent person in my life

And I gotta get used to her
