STORY STARTER

Write a scene where a superhero must reveal their true identity to someone they care for.
Star Spark and The End.
Luna was the superhero of Dallas City.
She saved the people. She helped them.
But this time, she got into a sticky situation…
⸻
Day 1
“Help! Help!” Luna hears a man’s desperate cry from the distance.
She quickly suits up and rushes toward the danger.
When she arrives, she’s shocked—it’s her past lover… and an enemy.
It shouldn’t be a big deal. Not at all. But this was someone she once loved.
He calls out to her, “Star Spark! Please save me!”
That’s when Luna—Star Spark—gets to work.
She fights hard to save him, strength pulsing through every move.
She thinks quickly, performs brilliantly. Shadow, the villain, is defeated.
But not for good…
⸻
Day 3
The fight was long over, but Luna couldn’t stop thinking about him.
Her past lover—the one that used to be hers.
She kept telling herself:
“Don’t let love get in the way of being a hero.”
But it seemed like it already was.
⸻
A Month Later
Star Spark was still on her mission—
Saving people.
Helping people.
Fighting for the people.
Then one day, as Luna, she ran into him again.
Black, thick hair.
Green eyes.
About six feet tall.
And me? Curly, afro-style hair.
Green mixed with hazel eyes, creating a swirl.
Freckles on brown skin—
his pale skin a perfect contrast to mine.
I paused.
“Hey… it’s been a while,” I said.
He nodded. We small-talked.
Oh please… don’t make me fall in love again.
I have to stay focused on my city, I told myself over and over.
But I was falling—deeper and deeper.
Weeks passed.
Then months.
Still falling.
Still fighting.
Still loving the one that used to be mine.
⸻
Then Shadow came back.
Stronger than ever.
Bigger. Meaner.
It was time to fight again.
⸻
At first, Luna was winning. But her mind wandered…
Is he okay?
Is he watching?
She got distracted.
“You’re weak… pathetic!!” Shadow shouted.
Star Spark kept fighting, pushing, giving everything she had—
But she was breaking.
Everything she promised… was slipping.
“Take off your mask!!” Shadow yelled.
Luna—strong as ever—kept fighting for what was right.
But the people of Dallas were in danger.
“What will you do?! Will you leave them behind?!” he taunted.
She held her chest, breathing heavily.
Was love the reason she was falling apart?
Should she take off the mask?
Show the world who she really was?
Or keep it hidden?
Just like before—
Just her… and her thoughts.
No lover in sight.
