POEM STARTER
Write an elegy about the death of something other than a person.
An elegy is a sad poem, traditionally expressing sorrow for someone who has passed away.
A requiem to Nietzche
The baby goes blind before he is able to see
And the turtle is eaten before he can reach the ocean
If life is unjust and meaningless
Then what need is there for this commotion
Humans climb the spiritual ladder rapidly
And one day find themselves on top of it
I ask what need is there for GOD
If Humans can become their own monolith
You yourself must have known
With this wicked nature that we have
That even what is taken
We will someday find a way to grab
As they took the fruit from the unwilling tree
As the mistakes of us all have sown division
I deem myself as responsible as the first two
Thus, I'll plead guilty to the murder of religion
