POEM STARTER
Write an elegy about the death of something other than a person.
An elegy is a sad poem, traditionally expressing sorrow for someone who has passed away.
Death Of The World
The ground crumbled below my feet
The ground I had grown the love
People were screaming, pleading for forgiveness
“WE’RE SORRY, SO SORRY. FORGIVE US”
Their false apologies only made the ground open up
“I will not forgive such disrespectful creatures.”
A man, no a god amerged from the ground
A god I had grown to fear
“You have destroyed too much to bare,
The only forgiveness I can give is death”
Screams erupted into a loud chorus of death
People fell into the Earth
People I have grown to hate
Families held onto to each other with their lives
But I knew it had no use
We were all going to die at day, we had no choice
