Stop And Wait

As I looked down at this strange little human I saw many things. I saw how my owners looked at it. It made me jealous because I know they would replace me with this tiny human. My owner were in awe of a small human who looked like a wrinkled potato. All I could think about was how this child would change my world. For better or worse. I think for worse. I watched as they aooo and ahhhhed of the baby. Then an idea came to me! I could just steal the tiny human and bring it to the pound.

As night approached I crept into the room where this tiny human layed. I jumped into the chair beside the bed and peered over into the crib. As I leaned forward I noticed the tiny human was still awake. When we locked eye contact I felt my heart began to grow warm and fuzzy. I didn’t want to love it but I think I was beginning to know the reason why my owners looked at this baby with such passion. That same night I tried to rid myself of the baby is the same night I fell in love with it.
