Closed Eyes
She wasn’t seen or heard
She often looked at the floor
She hummed and screamed
But no one would hear a thing
Alone with her thoughts she’d block them out with music and good thoughts
But she was still trapped around a wall of blocks
Alone in her big bed
She slept on the side of her head
She turned and tossed
Trying to relax but the moment was always lost
She told them her pain
They saw lies in her vains
Didn’t care to ask once more
Even when she didn’t come out her room door
She ached all over one pain leading to another
But that didn’t matter to her mother
She’d wake up the next day fine and well
But when it was time to turn off the lights it was nothing but hell
