VISUAL PROMPT

Prompt submitted by Tenshi

Write a poem about what streetlights make you think of.

Blindness

How can eyes see

what my soul is refusing?

If you’re my light,

why do I dwell in dark?

Looking above,

the stars are slowly fading,

so take me where

the streetlights shine upon.

Tell better lies

than what I know already!

Swear on a moon

made of a perfect cheese,

Then, under streetlights,

darling, be blind for me!
