I Told Her A SecretAnd SheTold MeHer Own
I told her a secret
And she told me her your own
I told her my secrets
The darkest of them all
The ones that make your skin crawl
I told her everything
Everything indeed
And she replied with a smile
That’s a first at least
I was anxious really
No terrified
To tell her at all
I told her it was horrid
And she still loves me
She told me in soothing words
Don’t worry
No matter what it is I’ll still love you
She told me she wasn’t going
Anywhere that she’d stay
That she loved me all the same
So I told her a secret
And she told me her own
I don’t understand
No one ever stays with such a burden of words
A concoction of a permanent stain
Left on a brain of someone insane
I told her a secret
I was afraid to tell her
She told me she’d stay
And she did just that
I don’t have to figure it out on my own
I don’t get it though
I really don’t
Most people who know my secrets
Leave so soon
I like the way I am
I don’t want to change
I’m falling further into insanity
And I don’t mind one bit
Neither does she
And I’m sticking with it
I’m sticking with her
Because shes the same as me
Because I told her a secret
And she told me her own
That maybe
Just maybe
Shes just as crazy
As me
