POEM STARTER
‘Where there once was softness, now all had turned to stone'
Write a poem which closes with this line.
I will not walk without you
I reached out my hand as the distance between us grew rapidly. A part of me was slipping away and I could no longer grasp it. The light was fading as I followed behind your towering figure. Your presense now failed to offer comfort. Motivated soley by my love for you, I persisted down your path. The unknown journey led me deeper. Our footsteps echoed in the silence as my heart grew weaker. Your new terrifying figure led me to my end. My unwavering love for you became a map to my demise. I now gazed at the face of death. “I will not walk this earth without you”, I said as he looked down at me. Suddenly, my eyes, which were once filled with softness, had turned to stone.
