I can hear it’s whispers as it creeps around my home. I hold my shot gun tight, ready to shoot. A skin-walker is nothing to toy with. It’s whispers turn into a woman’s bloodcurdling scream, no doubt, it’s last victim.

“I will not be afraid,” I whisper to myself. “I will not be afraid. I will not be afraid. I will NOT be afraid,” over and over I let the words leave my lips. Though a complete lie, it helped a little. The high pitched scream turned to a baby’s cry. One that made my heart ache. The inner mother in me was coming out, urging me to help the poor thing. My brain told me to stay inside and be ready to shoot, while my heart told me to run outside, grab the nonexistent baby, and run back inside. Through a window, glowing white eyes met with mine, staring into my soul. Chest heaving, panic taking over, I ran up the stairs and locked myself in the bathroom. I had grabbed my phone on the way up and dialed 911, gun still in hand.

“911, what’s your emergency?”

“I’m dealing with a skin-Walker. Please send someone. Atleast, someone who knows how to use a gun.” My voice was shaking and terrified.

“Uh-hum….you know those don’t exist, right?”

“YES THEY DO! DO YOU REALLY NEED PROOF? Can I send you a picture.” I shouted into the phone.

“Yes ma’am. Stay on the line with me while you text this number…” the woman gave me a phone number. Then, I pointed my camera out the window. The skin-Walker was wandering around my house, screaming, crying, and whispering. I decided to take a video.

“Is that enough proof for you?” I demanded, voice full of bitterness. I didn’t have time to argue with emergency services! I needed help, and fast!

“Help in on its way ma’am. Address?”

I’m safe. Don’t worry, but my hand shakes as I write this entry. I was told my encounter would change the way we see the world. So, I hope writing my findings in this article will widen awareness of Skin-walkers and help people take precaution.

Step 1: have a gun.

Step 2: don’t leave a single door or window unlocked.

Step 3: don’t fall for any tricks.

Step 4: be suspicious of everyone when seeing a Skin-Walker. It could be anyone.

And step 5: don’t take a video for YouTube, tiktok, or Instagram! CALL 911 FOR CRYING OUTLOUD.
