One moment, Lilli was out searching for Genova, one of their rivals, since her Petilil had gotten split up from her, and instead ran into Lilli. Lilli had out their Sylveon, who never returned to its Pokeball, and their Brionne and Quilava, who they had been training with before Petitil had found them. The next moment, however, the group was thrown through a wormhole, landing in a place not much different from that of where they were before, but was just enough off to know that they were somewhere new.

“Is everyone okay?” Lilli asked, only for all four Pokemon to reply in the affirmative, “And where are we..?”

“You’re in the Obsidian Fieldlands, dear, near Jubilife Village.” Came a voice, causing the group to turn around.

It was a man in a purple hat and a lab coat. Lilli’s Sylveon, knowing her trainer was rather timid, pushed herself in between the man and Lilli. Without Lucario here, she would have to play his role of being overprotective of their trainer.

“O—oh, u—uh, you mean… J—Jubilife… city?” Lilli eventually stuttered out, clutching the edge of their jacket tightly.

“City? Oh, no, it’s nothing more than a village. There’s not really any cities here in Hisui.” The man explained, “But here, I’ll take you to the village. Say, what’s your name? I’m Professor Laventon.”

And that’s when it clicked. Lilli and Sylveon look each other in the eyes, both knowing what the other was thinking. Somehow from this wormhole, they had gone from their own time in Kalos to Sinnoh—or Hisui as it was known at the time— in the past.

“U—uh… I—I’m Lilli—!” Lilli squeaked out, much too shocked by the potential implication of never returning home, in addition to their timidness, to say anything more.
