VISUAL PROMPT

Chaos and tragedy were running wild through the realm. Just how she had plannedβ¦
The Queen
(WARNING ANY NAMES IN THIS PROMPT ARE NAMES IN MY ACTUAL BOOK I'M MAKING. SO PLEASE, DON'T STEAL THEM. LOVE YOU <3)
As a kid, I wanted to become a fair ruler.
Ha! What a fool I was.
I thought joy came from seeing the folk of my kingdom happy, to see me as the same level as them.
But now? I enjoy bringing people to their knees. I enjoy my name being whispered with trembling fear.
This was going exactly as planned.
"What is happening?"
"Will the Queen do anything?"
"Is this the end of her reign?", The people whispered.
"Everybody must fight in this war." I declared.
Everyone in the castle turned to look at me with fear in their eyes.
"But...Your Majesty, I have a baby. How am I supposed to fight?" One woman piped up.
"It isn't my fault that your child is a liability. You can either hide them or bring them. That isn't my job. What is my job, is that everyone here must fight."
"But we're kids." A boy said, pointing to a group of children.
I laughed bitterly. "Did you hear what I just said, boy? It isn't an option." I turned my gaze to the rest of the people in the room, "The next person to contradict me dies."
They all left. Every single person left.
As soon as the door clicked shut, I ran to the secret exit I'd installed as a kid.
I walked straight to where the ruler of the other kingdom was.
Crown tipped slightly, long white gown and red lips. I looked just like someone who wouldn't hurt a fly.
"So," he spat. "You're the Queen?" he laughed bitterly.
"And you're what? A random boy?"
"I'm the King. You should know that by now,"
"What do you want?" Truth be told, he did announce he wanted to talk.
"Why are you doing this?"
Fire crackled behind us. The screaming had become silent.
"Sire," someone said behind the king. "We lost. All our defenses are dead or captured. Are you sure you don't want to send the people out to fight?"
"I am not risking the lives of my people to defeat....her." He stared at me, then the floor.
"Do it." I whispered, smirking. "I won anyways."
He did. He kneeled. So did everyone else. I won. I took over his kingdom.
