Beneath the willow,

You will find

Something dreary;

Or something kind.

This tree is a shelter.

This tree is a home.

To those who are lost;

And those who are alone.

On a cold rainy day,

You can take a peak.

And what you may hear

Is the cheaps from a tiny, lonely beak.

And if you look further,

Just turn your head,

There lay a rodent,

Dry and dead.

While some things may live

And others die,

The willow provides a roof

To those who don’t lie.

The animals are truthful,

Loyal to their own.

If only we could be

Like what the willow has shown.

Those who try

And care for each other,

In one dry place

Together, like brothers.

This tree has proven

What we are meant to be,

So cheer up

And work with me.

We must work together,

We must cooperate;

No matter what you stand for,

No matter who you hate.

We are all the same,

Like those animals who care.

They even raise each other,

So why can’t we all share?
