Where Doubt Thrives

On the planet we consider home, beauty, love, and peace reign supreme, for they are the most loved. They touch the leaves with a delicate touch, leaving joy in their path. No one denies their grace, and no one dislikes them.

While they are praised, others cower beneath the shadows, waiting for their turn to be loved. This is how envy is born. Envy, just being introduced to the world, is taken in by the others, who thrive off of the envy and pain that comes with the great. This group consisted of pride, greed, lust, envy, gluttony, wrath, and sloth. Together, they take down the warmth of the world and spread their beliefs instead. The world becomes a chilly place, where death is as common as life once was. Due to this fact, the people give the group a name, "The Deadly 7 Sins."

At first, the people fought these changes; they fought the seven deadly sins. But the people proved to be weak. As time passed, the cold became natural, and any form of laughter or love was met with an outburst. On the rare occasion that someone did not see the harm in joy, they were punished, forced to remember why these sins existed in the first place. In cases like this, where they were torn between truths, where uncertainty protruded into their minds. Once they saw the warmth of love, they chased it, no matter how preposterous it seemed to others. This is how a new sin was born: doubt. Doubt was added as the 8th sin. As many acknowledge, doubt would not thrive unless the pain wasn't as grand as it was. Doubt thrives in pain, and maybe this doubt is enough to drive the people to take back the warmth they once had.
