Tell the reader something important about a character by describing only their hands.
The Weight Theory
The calluses were getting bigger and bigger by the day. With the shedding of this dead skin, I felt an uncomfortable weight coming from off my shoulders. It was a welcomed affliction. More than the constant grease I would find inside my nails. Burning fingertips and pent-up frustration ruled my mornings and nights. Only when I could shed this dead skin, was I allowed to release.
