Hey everyone, I am writing a book! I know, I know pretty much everyone here is writing one, but I need some input and ideas, I’m just going to share two separate synopsises, synopsi? Whatever the plural form of synopsis is, but anyway I would love any input on how I could improve it or if you like the idea. This is my first time doing something like this, so I am open to anything. Thanks and I hope you enjoy the synopsis of my book, The Spiral Voyage. -TheOtherAuthor.

Here’s Synopsis 1:

They said the Gods had abandoned the world. They lied.

Saelen bears the Leviathan Sigil- an ancient mark that binds him to the sea that remembers. After the fall of Caelora, all he has left is a war torn sailboat, two misfit companions, and a destiny he never asked for. The Spiral Voyage isn’t a path, it’s a curse, churning through storm forged islands, eldritch riddles, and monsters birthed from half forgotten legends.

But something dark is rising beneath the waves. Magic has returned, unbound and bloodthirsty, and the gods are beginning to whisper again.

Saelan must navigate wrecked cities that speak in dreams, allies who may be enemies, and a truth buried deep in the salt of his own bones. Survival isn’t enough. If he fails, the sea won’t just claim him. It’ll drown the world.

Synopsis 2:

A vengeful god named Warren wants to destroy the world, and he’s already halfway there. He created the monsters that killed Saelen’s Family.

He broke the world in half, and now he wanted the last rift to the only safe haven he hasn’t captured yet. The last rift. To the Demon Realm. Where he was born. To destroy it, means death for all life. To let it live. Means even worse. Saelen has to stop him. But his hatred becomes a curse. And the consequences of his actions are more monstrous than even he imagined.

Personally I like the first one better. But the demon realm still plans to be a part of all of this. Funnily enough based off a dream I had.

So if anyone can give me any suggestions that would be great and I’ve got a question too!

If you were in Saelen’s place, and you had the chance to kill the god that wiped everything and everyone you ever loved, or the chance to save everything and everyone loved. What would you do?

I’m going for a hero’s journey look to my book. Seems a little cliche but I’ve got tricks to my sleeve.
