I’m skipping around the castle halls with five guards around me to make sure I don’t try to escape.

They’re all very grumpy.

I tried to ask for Wyatt but apparently he’s not in the castle right now. I cannot believe he left me with these grumps, the absolute audacity of him.

I skip past the hallway when I hear King Matako’s booming voice. He shouts far too much. My curiosity gets the better of me and I try to listen in but a tall, dark skinned man grabs me by my arm and drags me away despite my protests. He’s holding on so hard. "Hey! Your grip is a bit tight there!"

His grip loosens — just barely.

I huff when he lets go of me. I’m far from the hall but I can still hear his scary voice.

_ "She is to be killed after the war! Whether we win or not! Do you understand me?"_

_ "Yes, father,"_ I hear Alric say.

I gasp. My eyes widen and I run away.

The guards try to grab me but I go into my Neuro state.

Tinka’s eyes glow. The guards slowly back away from her in fear. She waterweaves the water out from the soil from the pot plants in the hallway. It’s not a lot but Tinka manages. She turns them into dagger sharp ice and stabs all five of them.

Her eyes flicker and she falls back to the ground.

I open my eyes and I see all of the grumpy guards on the ground, bleeding out. I just killed five men. I just killed five people at the age of twelve.

I gasp.

My throat tightens.

I suddenly cannot breathe.

Alric turns the corner with his head down low.

My wheezing gets louder.

He looks up and sees me.

"Shit.." he mutters and rushes over to me.

He bends down in front of me. Alric gently grabs my hand and places it against his chest. "Come on, Tink. Just breathe in and out. Like me, got it?"

It takes me about ten seconds before I finally calm down.

"Alric," I breathe.

He lets out a small breath of relief. "Hey, Tink. You okay?"

I nod and swallow. I look at the guards behind him. "They’re not."

Alric looks behind him and his eyes widens as if he didn’t notice them before. "Geez, Tink," he turns back to me. "What did you do?"

"I- I can’t remember. I remember hearing King Matako talk about me getting killed, then I ran, then they tried to chase me so I- I- used my Neuro state and I can’t- I can’t remember," I cry.

"Shhh," he pulls him close to me. "It’s going to be okay. I’m not going to let my father kill you,not if I have anything to do with it.
