I woke up to hear knocking on glass. At first I thought it came from window, then I realized it was coming from the mirror...
Write a horror story that includes this premise.
Little Night Terrors
The sound of glass shattering, the dreaded sounds of screams. I was stuck in a shrinking black room, the darkness somehow holding screams. The sound of a car screeching, everything breaking, and the reacting feeling of my heart being yanked into my head, making my head throb.
“Not again!” I held my head clenching my fingers over my ears, trying to rip the sound from my ears. The screaming walls started to close in.
“Stop!” I cried.
At that moment I could feel my body, I felt the sheets under me. A dream- no a nightmare, I tried to move but stuck in my mind. I could feel the heat of the seat and blankets on.
“Let me out!”
I swung up from my bed with a jolt of heat swinging through my body. I ran my hand through my hair trying to calm myself down from that nightmare. My rhythmic panting echoed the room before knocking broke through.
I heard knocking coming from the bathroom, I slowly walked out of bed and over to the bathroom. Was someone trying to break in from the bathroom window? I walked in the doorway, looking around for the window, realizing there wasn’t one. I stood infront of the sink feeling still dazed, not fully awake. I ran the water above my hand before wiping my hand around my face.
The knocking continued but louder, each time being more reckless and unpredictable. I looked in the mirror before screaming.
My face was covered in red, a burning blood red whered I’d draped the water over my face. I looked up into the mirror hoping to see something different, and to my surprise I did, it was a hand. The disheveled hand, looked as if it wanted to escape, I stumbled back. Glass breaking, and everything went black.
My eyes opened, t-that was a freaky nightmare. I got up to rinse my face in the bathroom, so I could go back to sleep. I ran the water, but I heard something from downstairs. I scrunched my face and turned off the water, no way I was definitely awake now. I listened to the noises, it sounded of glass being shuffled around. Wait.
“Wait-did” I mumbled before the thought sliced my brain.
“Did that actually- don’t- don’t noises you hear while sleeping affect your dreams?”
(If you think waking up from a dream into a dream is realistic, I based that part a time when that actually happened to me and the same with hearing things while you dream. It’s freeky lol)
