POEM STARTER
‘All in a golden afternoon, under the skies of cloudless blue.’

Good Luck With Her
They said it wouldn’t work out. That it wasn’t right.
But she has soft hands as she grips mine,
Full lips I’m a little jealous of,
And big eyes with shimmering shadow and liner.
Her thoughts tumble out of her mouth without prior judgement
And I know we’re going to be close when she laughs at my joke and leaps away to go swimming, ushering me into the lapping waves with her and her hot pink bikini.
She tells me she’s not really afraid of anything anymore.
It’s amazing what you can learn about someone.
All in a golden afternoon, under the skies of cloudless blue.
