Her soft leather Sambas hit the sidewalk with purpose, her yoga mat swinging in her shoulder bag beside her. She doesn’t look up from her phone - she doesn’t have to, she knows this city like the back of her hand.

Her hair is pulled back in a neat pony and her eyes are hidden behind trendy glasses. She slips in the door of her new favourite coffee shop and heads to the pick-up counter for the order she placed online.

As she grabs her flat white, she gives the barista a polite smile, which is returned. She prides herself on not ordering a Starbucks in months, why would she when these hidden gems are scattered throughout the city?

Her phone buzzes in her pocket but with her hands full, she glances at her Apple Watch to provide the latest advancement in the groupchat. Her friends are making dinner plans at a new restaurant that opened last weekend.

She taps the crosswalk button with her elbow as she shuffles the items in her hands to make room to for her phone, which she uses to call the newly opened restaurant.

“Hi there, I’d like to make a reservation for 9. Yes, 6:00 works great, patio is fine too. Thank you”.

She shoves the phone back in her bag after sharing the reservation time with the groupchat and double taps her AirPods to resume playing. She takes a bite out of her breakfast muffin and crosses the street to where her yoga class begins in 10 minutes.
