Opened.
Everything seems so . . . Clear. It’s like a veil has been lifted from my eyes, and suddenly I have learned how to see again.
The leaves are sharper. The air feels cool against my skin. The sky is such a vibrant blue.
A tear escapes from my eye. It feels so wet against my cheek, until it reaches my lip and a bloom of saltiness flows across my mouth. Is this how it feels to cry? I’ve cried before but it’s never felt so. . . Real.
Before, the world was so dull. So dull, so boring, but now, but now I can finally see.
