Living Being, Not Stagnant Thing

My name's Cole, and as a living being, not a stagnant thing, I've learned...

To be in a long-term, serious relationship is to, naturally, be in a mutual life with equality/compatibility, not exist superiorly or, for that matter, inferiorly to your soulmate.

As a partner, I am an example of any human person to be loved and, as a result, I am not a toy to be used or to be messed around with.

While my words here may sound poetic but are not, and I'm certainly not attempting a philospohical approach, there are some heart-felt ideas that, as I speak here, I want to share with you.

I wake up, any given morning, and I think to myself, "Oh, what if I was a partner, not a 'toy'? Say, what if I was similar to my lady, not utterly a girl's doll? What is a self-respecting, albeit sometimes unsure, young person to do? I can do what she can, I deserve what she does, I'm as free as she is." And as the day goes on, these are the thoughts my head keeps playing in me.

If we are not a toy to be played with, who is? If we're a human beings, who's a still put object? As I play with this throughout my day I think, or I wish, perhaps more folks will realize that we live, we do not simply exist; we are loved, we do not simply shine; we do things, not simply watch do. Those are my words. Take them or leave them... but don't use them as a toy.
