Nature
Write a poem in any form based on this theme.
Natural Selection
Nature is so full beauty,
You’ll find it everywhere.
Smell of sea or flavours fruity,
A horse’s perfect hair.
Aurora borealis,
Or rainbows in the sky.
Curves just like a chalice,
Or the hue of a blue eye.
But sometimes nature can be grim,
It’s kill or you’ll be killed.
Creatures murder on a whim,
And some just for the thrill.
Death is only natural,
It happens everyday.
It’s one thing unavoidable,
Try as though you may.
So with the little time we have,
Like most — I’ll procreate.
Laze about and eat a pav,
Watch Netflix with my mate.
I am a hedonistic at heart,
Dopamine leads my brain.
Obeying nature, I play my part,
Sat atop the food chain.
