No more hiding.

No more shame.

No more shrinking.

No more blame.

No more guilt.

No more hurt.

I am stepping out of the darkness.

I am stepping out of the shadows.

There’s the light I’ve been looking for.

There’s the warmth of the sunshine on my skin.

The voices in my head are quiet.

The monsters are my friends.

The urges aren’t there.

The bullies are gone.

The inner critic is silenced.

The wounds are healed.

I no longer seek to be chosen.

I am not looking for the next thing.

I no longer crave attention.

I am embracing myself wholly and fully.

I am not a small role,

I am not even a main character.

I am the entire production team because without me, there is nothing.

I’ve created a monster but this time, she’s here to remind me I’ve always been enough.

I never had to shrink myself down to be bite sized. I am allowed to take up space. I am enough as I am. My body is beautiful.

This monster isn’t seeking revenge.

She was created to bring peace.
