Gazing into the still calm water of the sea, I don’t recognize the person staring back. Too much pain and heartache have occurred in recent years that have brought wrinkles and grey hair to the once beautiful smoothe faced brunette. More so I don’t recognize the hard heart and crushed soul. In days past she would have been full of love and life freely giving her excess to all around. That isn’t so anymore. She has nothing left to give. Nothing is being poured into her to fill the depths of her needs and desires. Nothing is replenishing what she once so generously gave. She needs a soul to see the wonderful woman she used to be. She needs a soul to see who she still is underneath the dispare and desolate life she lives. She needs a soul to lift her up and to make her believe she is cherished for who she is, not despised for who she isn’t.

This woman is strong. This woman is loved. This woman is beautiful inside and out. This woman is a gift. She is capable. She is intelligent. She is caring and kind. She fits. She fits into God’s plan for this world by being who she is.

Rely on God’s strength and be filled up by His love. Don’t conform to this world and believe, beautiful girl, that you can rely on God because He is enough.

Oh, hey, old friend. Nice to catch a glimpse of you again. I pray the sea stays calm. Lock your eyes on God and have courage to carry on.
