WRITING OBSTACLE
Submitted by Lizzie Rose.
Write a poem or story about fog, steering away from any horror themes.
Usually when we think of fog, our minds come up with a daunting image. Try to make your story/poem beautiful.
Wonderfully Divine
It was a cold winter’s morning
The smell of rain still lingered
Baby was waking and yawning
Sheer wonder her eyes delivered
Mine set upon the dark of dawn
Seeing clouds form at ground level
Her tiny smile was heaven-drawn
God’s ultimate blessing, so special
As the heavy fog settled gradually
Obstructing all that we could see
She nestled in my arms instinctively
I was the happiest I could ever be
This was far from a summer’s day
Not so much as a hint of sunshine
But I wouldn’t have it any other way
This moment was wonderfully divine
