POEM STARTER
Write a poem that uses 'eye rhyme'.
Eye rhyme is where words look like they will rhyme, but don’t when they are spoken or read. Think about how you could use these jarring 'rhymes' to portray something in your poem.
Nanna
Oh Nanna, home is your laughter,
I’m so glad I’m your daughter’s daughter,
Oh Nanna, I love looking through,
And seeing you smile as you make dough,
Oh Nanna, you never let me lose,
And if I do, you get Gramps with the hose,
Oh Nanna, when life seems bleak,
You make my favourite, chips and steak,
Oh Nanna, please never move,
Or I’ll lose a piece of me that is your love
