POEM STARTER
Mysteries of the Night
Whether something natural and beautiful like the stars, or something more sinister, write a poem that focuses on things that are most prominent at night.
A Twinkle
A slight twinkle in the eyes of one,
There lies a light reflecting off of the moon.
Laid out flat across the surface of Earth,
An adolescent girl experiences this every night for fun.
The imagines seen along the night sky just from rays of light,
Stars go on for miles and miles,
Couldn’t count all of them without running out of numbers,
Turned regular days into dreamy nights.
A girl grows up to want to never let those imagines fade.
So she starts to close her eyes and still see it.
The dreams from reality are there for life.
And from those images she begins to get paid.
A girl now a woman is a painter,
Just from the times of when she was young.
She learned to cherish her moments early on.
And now those memories will never get fainter.
So keep going and never give up on your thoughts,
You got this no matter the obstacles.
Those bumps in the road are there to close you down.
But don’t even stop or your dreams will rot.
