WRITING OBSTACLE
Craft a story where each sentence begins with the successive letter of the alphabet, starting with A.
The story can be about whatever you like, but try to make it coherent and logical as you carefully choose words to start each sentence.
Zany
All they said was I was faking it
But they don’t see the amount of pain and suffering I go through because of this.
Can’t they not see?
Don’t they understand that I’m not doing it for attention?
Every doctor tells me the same thing:It’s all in your head
How can they say that?
It’s not all in my head—I swear it isn’t
Just because I’m a teenage girl doesn’t mean I’m faking it
Kids suffer too
Live through pain
Maybe just because I’m not growing old with a bad back doesn’t mean I am any less valid
No
Of course it doesn’t
People make it out that I am less though—doctors treat me as less
Questioning my sanity and my claims, my story
Run, they say, walk, it’ll help
So I do—it doesn’t help, at all
Then people say to use essential oils
Unfortunately, Emily, this is how my brain works and no amount of oils will help
Vanessa, exercise is not going to change anything
Why doesn’t anyone understand?
X-rays they run—they find nothing
Yes, they never say, I believe you
Zany is what they call me instead
