POEM STARTER
Write a poem from the voice of someone who is worrying about something.
Consider the style and layout of your poem to best reflect your character's emotions and thoughts.
Will I ever?
Will someone ever love me?
The way that I am now.
With pain in my body
And things on my plate.
Will someone ever love,
My ever tired soul?
Will they mend my heart
Thats beats too fast
No matter how hard I try to slow it?
Will someone ever love me,
The way that I love?
Will they want to wake up next to me,
To see my face every morning?
Will I ever find a girl,
That wants to hold me when it hurts,
And laugh when It doesn’t.
And who knows I would do the same.
Will someone ever love
My broken form
Hair and acne and freckles
Small scars and bruises
Littering my body
Will I ever find someone
As imperfect as me
Who cares enough to be there
When everything is falling apart?
