Fragments
It all returns in pieces.
A laugh in the hallway, a song in the rain,
a shadow that knows your name—
It all returns in pieces.
The scent of dust on an old book's spine,
the creak in the stairs at night—divine.
It all returns in pieces.
A voice you knew, a place you left,
a silence full of what you kept.
It all returns in pieces.
And though time wears the edges thin,
some fragments still cut from within.
It all returns in pieces.
