The Scars On Our Hearts
The scars on our hearts
remind us of the pain we once felt—
of the love we longed for
but never received.
They echo the quiet battles,
the nights spent wondering
if we were ever enough.
Though healed,
they sometimes sting
when patterns reappear—
familiar,
comforting,
yet toxic.
But scars tell stories:
of resilience,
of strength forged
in the crucible of hardship.
They shape us
into something whole.
Still,
we carry on.
Every step forward
draws us closer to solace.
Each beginning
holds the promise
of a brighter tomorrow.
We learn to embrace
our imperfections—
testaments to survival.
We find strength
in vulnerability,
wisdom
in mistakes.
In those raw moments,
we understand
what we seek
and who we must become.
The journey molds us,
shapes us
into hearts capable of love,
of understanding.
With these scars,
we love better,
live deeper.
Embracing flaws,
we grow compassion—
offering unguarded hearts
to those we cherish.
