Chain Reaction
We are perfectly broken
Twin nuclear reactors
Odious words spoken
Left jagged fractures
Melting down rapidly
Consuming white heat
Torching our love avidly
Neither will retreat
The dark smoke thins
Scarlet flames recede
Revealing scars within
Committed to our creed
Alone, yet bound together
Repairing shattered selves
Mutually tethered forever
In hollow concrete shells
