Short
Daisy was short. Shorter than the average girl in her family. This never bothered her except for the days when her brother Todd decided to play with knives. You see her brother had this weird facination with knives. He thought it would be so fun to stack apples on her head and see if he could throw the knives to hit the apples. He thought he was so clever and brave and strong. It was really Daisy who was the strong and brave one for letting her brother do this. He wasn’t even her older brother. He was her YOUNGER brother. So she decided it was easier just to give in to her brother’s begging instead of making him sad. So time and again she would stand straight as a board and her brother would throw the knives. And miraculously or maybe it was because her brother loved her so much that he didn’t dare miss, he never missed a shot.
It became so strange and so incrdible that people actually paid to see them perform this act on stage. Big stages all over the world. Todd with his Knives, Daisy in her cute outfits and with her short stature. Everyone thought that she was the younger sister. Because she was so small and cute and obeyed her brother so nicely. Todd was tall and muscular and had charisma for days. He could charm anyone and he was so likeable so friendly that he made friends with just about anyone he spoke with. Everyone liked Todd. Daisy on the other hand was harder to get close to. She was shy and felt like she wasn’t really good at anythng. The only thing she was really good at was standing still and waiting for her brother to throw the knife.
So one day Daisy was standing there on stage like she always does. And her brother again had his knife and pointed it at her throat this time and asked her what he always did before he would do his famous throw.
“Do you trust me?” he said with a smile and a wink to the audience who cheered him on. The big lights on the stage were blinding and so strong. Daisy had to squint to see her brother properly. She closed her eyes and smiled as she said “I trust you,”.
And the knife went flying.
