Life is Like a Fairytale

Ever since I won all 5 lotteries I bought tickets for, I could see a huge increase in my performances at work, my eating, and my sleeping. It's been only a couple weeks and every time I forget and then remember about the $12,350,000,000 sitting in my account, I get more anxious. Ever since I was 13 I've had dreams to live a fantastical and aesthetic life. One that could only be fulfilled through a large sum of money. And now that I have that, I had the chance to live that life. But was it more important?

"Yes." I finally decided one night before bed. In a month or two, I would not be sleeping in the same uncomfortable single size bed.

I went online, I searched for large and affordable castles in Ireland. After a sleepless night, (or maybe 3) I finally found and purchased the beautifully pre-furnished castle of my dreams. It was only $3.6M. Every night from then on I cry happy tears praying to God how thankful I was for this gift. After being mailed the final info about my new home, I officially sold my home. It was quite easy considering how many graduated students were out searching for a place to call home.

With the new money I received, I went shopping on amazon and other stores for all the cute outfits and accessories. There were dresses of all shapes and colors, flower crowns and tiaras, slippers, heels, lace gloves. Small medieval bottles, bags, and arm plates. I made sure to have the shipments to Ireland of my castle's address.

My parents and brother were very confused as to why I would choose this to waste my billions of dollars. But they didn't complain after the fact I invited them to stay. After buying 4 tickets to Ireland and hours of a long boring flight. We finally reached Ireland. We took an Uber to the castle and it was more beautiful than I could've ever imagined. The beautiful forest with glades and ponds surrounding the castle was like a fairytale. It was a dream come true.

After a couple of weeks, I had set up my perfect bedroom. It had floor to ceiling windows that looked out to the "backyard", a king-size bed, and vintage furniture. Everyday after breakfast I put on a new dress and frolicked out in the fields. I picked flowers and admired them. I sung ballads with the birds and wrote poems out by the pond. I had even started taking archery lessons and I went out into the forest everyday to shoot hand carved targets on trees.

A few days later I started publishing some of my poems and writings about how my life changed and things about how anything is possible. Every morning I would come out in my sleeping gown and gently open the envelopes of checks while wearing my lace gloves. Every minute I spent was the life I always fantasized about since I was a teen. And now I'm finally living it.

After a few more days I hired two cooks, 4 maids, and bought two horses. The cooks and maids helped out around the castle so my parents could relax. My horses were beautiful and I would walk the fields with them. I would ride them to the stores and back. I loved them and would spend lots of my days with them. At nights I was alone, I would skip through the hallways playing music on speakers in my long dresses and socks.

I was still as happy as ever and I even developed a crush on a boy my age that everyday would deliver our mail. He was handsome and well fit. I admired him for his looks and for his personality. He was respectable and quite humorous. We often bantered playfully with each other whenever we saw each other. And one time I accidentally almost shot him with an arrow when I was out by myself in the woods. He had wondered into the woods because he was drawn by my singing. I just barely missed his face, and afterwards we had a picnic lunch in the flower field. We are good friends, but I'm still sure there's something there. He may not think so, but I could see it. Or maybe I was just blinded by how happy I was.

I am so joyful and grateful for this wonderful gift that has granted all my childhood dreams.
