WRITING OBSTACLE
In a short scene, how can your protagonist say “I won’t forget you” without literally saying the words “I won’t forget you”?
You
You came into my life like angry waves crashing against a cliff in a thunderstorm. Sudden, and all at once. You stole my breath away and filled every inch of me with your salty presence. Pushing me under and holding me down until the pressure became too much. Yet, I endured, and I survived. All because of what I thought was mutual love, respect, and trust. But you never knew what love was. You never trusted me or respected the person I was. You changed me. You pushed into my life and changed who I was to fit your needs. And when you didn’t want me around anymore, you threw me out, like polluting the beautiful, clear ocean, with your filthy lies and hate. I will forgive myself, because there is nothing greater than loving someone with your whole being. I just gave all my love to the wrong person. I will live with that forever, but at least now I can learn to love and become myself again.
