As I press the number 3 button the door starts closing, I feel my heart start racing. I’ve been trapped in an elevator six times in counting. My sister says i have bad luck, I say the universe is against me. I say a silent prayer - even though I’m not religious - as the elevator starts to go up. I had five floors to go, my car was parked in the second level parking lot and I would usually take the stairs but I was way too tired to even think about it today. I feel the elevator stop so I go to get off, but the doors don’t open. I look up to the digital screen above the door to see that it says ‘L’ - which means lobby - I pressed the button to open the door, nothing happened. I sat and waited for a minute taking deep breaths. Then i started freaking out, I continued to press the button at least a thousand times before I broke out in tears. All of a sudden the elevator starts moving again. I feel foolish, I was only stuck for two minutes and I had already broken into tears.
