STORY STARTER

You come home after a long day at the office, and collapse into bed. You feel something under your pillow. You pull out bloody feathers from some kind of black bird...
Mrs Grumpy
After a long day of being a “professional business woman,” or so my mom says, I collapse onto my bed, the cotton swallowing me in its softness. I wanted to crawl into this bed and never come out. Right as I lay my head against the pillow, I sneeze. Trying to find the right spot, my hands glide underneath the pillow. I felt something. Feathers? Questions rang in my mind. I lifted the pillow to find blood and black feathers smeared underneath.
What. The. Heck.
I scream. Then proceed to run around the room screaming.
“_What_?” My brother comes in.
“Look!” My eyes wide in horror.
His eyes widen too, “What is this?”
“I don’t know,” I say, almost hyperventilating.
“You can lay in my bed for now, I know your tired.” My brother said.
“Thank you,” I jump gently onto him, giving him a gracious hug.
“Your welcome,” he says, and I catch him smiling.
“You did this didn’t you?”
“What do you mean?” He says, trying not to laugh.
“Jacob Rose!” I say, annoyed.
He starts laughing and slapping his legs.
“Are you kidding me?” I gently hit his arm, “How could you do this to me?”
“In my defense.. I didn’t do it.”
“Who?” I point toward him while squinting.
He puts his arms up in surrender.
“I can’t tell you.”
“Oh you better tell me,” I say, this time madder than before.
“Do you realize why this isn’t funny?”
“Why?”
“Because I just came back from a long day at work, you know I hate that job but it pays well. I wanted to relax and you—whoever did this—disturbed my rest. “
“I’m sorry,” this time my 20 year old brother actually looks considerate.
“Thank you, now please tell me who did this.” I calm down.
“It was Josh,” He said. _His twin. _

“I’m going to get that little rascal!” I say with gritted teeth.
“Slow down there Shelly.”
I look at him annoyed, “That’s not even my name…. Fine, I’ll go to sleep.”
“Thank you,” He says, then whispers “someone’s grumpy.”
I have never turned around so fast, then squinted at him, “Let me sleep in peace. Do not bother me.”
He nodded with a smile on his face. I controlled myself and went to sleep.
