POEM STARTER

Submitted by Antaura Dawn

'The stars were what she liked most about the sky. Then, they started to fall.'

Write a poem based around this idea. You could include the line, use it as a central theme, or turn it into a metaphor.

Him

At the the moment I arrived

I felt his intensity as I laughed with the women

And he was looking

I felt it

I tryed to look over but his light was too bright

A man sweet rugged good natured and fun

A man so magnetic I could barely stand still

We connected with eyes electric and the smiles we exchanged

and smiles were enough

After the party we continued our pull

So strong I felt weak

And when he spoke to me I knew

This man was dangerous

An older woman crush

And I dropped in and dropped in and dropped in again

And I flirted he flirted? And I flirted some more

This is harmless ?

Surely maybe not.

For me

he is many years my junior

Probably my wild imagination

I know it goes no further as it should not

But his deep firm hugs

The way he smiles picks me up spinning

The hugs longer and closer each time we meet and again when we part

We are special somehow together

And we once again return safely to the bed of another

Until it repeats and repeats and repeats once again

I’m high on this little would be affair we will never have

Just know I do love you

bring your vibrations to me

And we will embrace longer ever closer

I live for these moments of you and me
