“Let’s skip the pleasantries, shall we? You and I both know we’re not here for small talk.” I said as I pushed off of the pillar I was leaning on.

The corners of Luca’s mouth turned up in a half smirk, “Fair enough.”

I scoffed and resisted the urge to roll my eyes. It doesn’t matter that I seem to drown in his ocean blue eyes and relax at the sound of his Hispanic drawl. He’s still the one thing I can’t have. But the one thing I want the most. God save me.

“Anastasia?”

I blinked, “What?”

Luca’s smirk widened to a grin, “Do you want to talk business, princesa, or do you want to keep staring?”

I flushed slightly, “You flatter yourself.”

“Are you kidding? Its not my fault your eyes are undressing me. Can’t say I blame you though.”

Oh my god. I bit back a smart reply, “Let’s just get to business.”

Luca nodded, that stupid smile still playing on his lips, “Heads or tails princesa?”

I took a small breath, “Heads.”

He flipped the coin and covered it before turning it over. My heart was in my mouth. If it’s Tails, Luca gets to a head start on our bet. I can’t let him win.

“It’s tails Stasia.”

Thank the Lord.

“You think you’ve won, but I will still take the victory. Why kill two birds with one stone when you can kill ten?” He said.

“Always so poetic Luca.” I rolled my eyes.
