Dust bunnies invade at the worst time,

Smothering surfaces with grey grime.

Yellow cloths and feathery dusters flap,

There’s always more hiding until tempers snap.

Dust all day with the windows open wide,

Somehow little dust bunnies hide.

But despite the sneezes they trigger,

It seems that breaths taken are bigger.

When the little motes settle and are gone,

Lungs stretch and relief is like the dawn…
