STORY STARTER
Write a scene where a character confesses their (unreturned) love for another.
Loving You From Afar
I watch from across the room, laughing with all those pretty girls. I wouldn’t expect anything else. Someone like you would never even acknowledge a girl like me. You’re too spectacular to even look at me.
You look at her with love in the your eyes as they trace her perfect skin. Your beautiful brown eyes locking with her own. Then you lean in and my heart shatters. My whole world crumbles before me as I watch you take the warm embrace of someone else’s lips.
If only I had the courage to say I love you before. The courage to even look you in the eyes and not fold. I’m not one of those girls. I don’t confess my love and hope for the best. No, I sit in the corner watching you in all your glory.
Even if I had a chance I would never do so much as try to talk to you cause I know that you would ignore me. It hurts to admit but you and I both know that you are the boy that everyone else adores and I am the girl overlooked.
Star player, captain of the team, tall, blonde boy.
And me. Fat, wierd, lonely nerd. That’s just how it was always meant to be. We could never be together… not even if you wanted to.
