POEM STARTER
Awakening
Write a poem about an awakening - it could be literal or metaphorical.

Heedful I observe
Dust flying within sunbeams
My limbs stretch out and around
like the arches Of the sun
Sprawled out on material cloud
wide eyed
I rise upon it.
But do I truly get rest from it?
I lay in a puddle of hot hues of orange
Slowly sinking into it so deep
I wish to plunge into its depths
I welcome it.
Everytime I welcome it
It loops like every breath taking
Right before I awakened.
Right before I’m awakened.
A feeling in my bones shaking
My subconscious breaking
Throwing itself into a forest approached by a herd, packed of sheep in grey furs snarling at me every word and memory I’ve heard
In the background a plethora of singing birds
Their songs familiar and comforting
Bringing me back through ascension
Back into my pool of hue
Back into the warmth I ooze.
I rise upon it
Will I ever truly get rest from it?
