In my mind, I see this image

When I stare out the window pane

A blurry scene of you and me, dancing in the rain

The clouds are gray

The sky is gray

And so are you and I

But when you share with me, your umbrella

Color sparkles up my eye

The streets are empty

The gutters dark

And all the stores are closed

But when you sweep me off my feet, I feel much less cold

I see in my mind you and I,

Having on fancy long coats,

But no matter the time that goes by

The memory never grows old

In my mind, I see this image

Of a love that I have not gained

But when I close my eyes to no surprise,

I see us, dancing through the rain
