STORY STARTER
Write a poem or short story from the perspective of royalty, which focuses on a specific topic of your choice.
It could be real royalty or a fantasy world, but try to imagine how they would feel differently about your chosen theme due to their position.
What I’ve Been Taught To Trust
Aziza is a princess.
It is difficult to forget when every part of her life reminds her of that title.
Her life is scheduled, down to the second. The princess must know how to care for her people. A princess must dress and act the part. She must know how to play piano, but she is also to know business and politics. She must be generous but not a push over. A princess is strong but not overshadowing the prince because, yes, a princess must have a prince.
Here is another fact about her ever cascading labels: She likes Haze.
Haze is kindness personified. She truly embodies everything Aziza knows about being fair and true. The hard truth is that Haze is also a witch.
A truth that her parents abhor. Even with Haze healing her from an unknown illness, they still only tolerate the witch’s presence.
Haze and her sister, Nova, both try. Aziza can see that. Everyone is able to. Her parents are a different story. They are an entirely separate library.
Royalty controls her life. Most importantly, it controls who she is supposed to love.
It did not do an adequate job though.
She likes Haze a significant amount.
She should not like her. Haze is a witch after all. Common enemy number one.
The princess and the witch.

Hi everyone! First, my sister is doing much better which is a relief. She is finally getting back to her normal self! Thanks for the well wishes. I’m probably going to be mass posting writings for the next couple of days that are done but just sitting in my drafts.
Second, I recently hit my 500th writing and a streak of 700! It’s crazy how long it’s been! I’d like to thank everyone here for their creativity that inspires me to keep writing! Have a great day!
Always,
Anya
