POEM STARTER

Write a poem that is grotesquely romantic.

This could mean a poem that’s overly lovey-dovey, one that has a romantic theme but grotesque imagery, or something else altogether.

The rays he croon

My heart is broken.

Or is it just frozen?

It never really got broken.

Just stopped feeling and became frozen.

So how can I light up the candles

while breaking my promise?

When I know It'll only start a fire.

Leaving me walking on a thin wire.

Screaming in my head that I'm a lair.

But he can't really see me through her,

he already got higher.

Only because I became tire

he broke free and chose his desire.

Becoming a sire.

Brighter.

I was the moon,

Until I got burned by the rays he croon.

Living my room,

he said he'll be back soon.

Leting my heart get boken

and frozen.

Now it's stolen.

But to get it back I need to crose the ocean.

To swim. To drawn. To place my feet on the ground.

And chase it until I fall to the sound

of his beautiful beating heart.
