STORY STARTER
In a classic body swap scenario, you wake up as a famous philosopher, about to give a grand speech on the meaning of life to thousands of people.
What will you tell them?
The Meaning of Life
“As I stand here amongst you all. You sit waiting for an answer I do not have. One made only to ponder but never complete. _The Meaning of Life. _
What makes life truly meaningful? How is meaningful measured? When does meaningful _end_?
It’s a broken line, told only to cope with the experiences one lives. What is meaningful to you, may not have meaning to your neighbor. It’s a loop that never finishes. Never finding peace.
The ride of life is one not taken smoothly. It’s filled with valleys, hills, oceans, and mountains. All to be cherished and explored.
How grateful I am to have lived through the changings. To have experienced great delight. To feel _emotion_, and not alone. Sharing feelings. Bouncing from sensation to the next, feeding off those around you. Learning how to interpret reaction, and making it one of a kind. Yours only.
Choosing to feel sorrow during tough times, with tears coming and going like the tide. Feeling happiness like sun soaking into your skin. These emotions are not new to our world, ones that have been felt through lifetimes. But you got to the chance to experience them, your way.
There is no such thing as a life unfulfilled, it’s only your decisions guiding you to your conclusion, that gives _you_ meaning.
It’s a wonder, the human experience. To be apart of a world created in such harmony, life exists.
Never take too harshly to oneself. This is your first time living, loving, and losing. Be gentle. Be kind. Be grateful you had the chance to feel everything that makes life a gift. Your presence is meaningful enough.
Shortly, there is no meaning.
The only meaning is what you make it.”
